If you have been following me for a while, you may remember a miracle baby from about 5 years ago, Leah. Well she has a new baby sister who is absolutely just as much of a miracle.
About a month after this session, she was very sick and the doctors found some medical issues that ended up putting her into emergency surgery. Thank GOD, they found everything, and now she is healed. Thank you God, for this miracle girl.
She has the sweetest, happiest spirit. She is a true JOY. Meet Miss Delani.
Sweet little Ariella Moon was one of the tiniest little babies I have ever photographed. I had a great time getting her images and watching her mama and her grandmother ooooh and ahhhh over all the sweet setups. She looked so beautiful in that little romper too. So glad I took the time to coax her into that pose. <3 If you are interested in a having a newborn portrait session, contact me today for details!
Baby Maggie Dean | JTP, Richmond Newborn Photographer
JTP, Richmond newborn photographer had the honor of photographing a true miracle. Little Maggie Dean was conceived under the most amazing cirucumstances. Maggie’s mom had undergone surgery to remove a tumor on on of her ovaries, leaving her with 50 % fertility loss and her dad had undergone years of chemotherapy in which his doctors gave him no chance of having more children. To say that these parents were surprised in finding out that they were going to have another child is a huge underestimate. They were floored!!!
The family already had 3 amazing children all of which are boys. They are all great kids and each with gifts and abilities as different as the next, but there just wasn’t a little princess in the house. They all fully expected that they would find out that this new surprise would be their 4th boy, but boy were they wrong. 😉 Their gender reveal party exploded with pink dust.
Little Maggie Dean had been truly a wonderful surprise and the boys couldn’t be more thrilled, especially middle brother Austin. He just can’t get enough of her.

Who doesn’t love baseball? This is one of my favorite boy prop shots, EVER. These baseballs belong to my grandfather which makes this image even more special to me.
Let me start by saying a huge thank you to Micah’s mommy, Lisa. About 3 years ago, Lisa asked a friend of mine, if she knew any local photographers. She was fairly new to the area, moving here for her husband’s job as a pastor of a local church. My friend, April, told her that she did have a friend that had recently started out. So she gave me Lisa’s contact information and I photographed Lisa for my first maternity session. After her and her husband received their pictures, she asked if I would photograph their baby boy when he arrived. I was thrilled and a little terrified. I had never photographed a newborn, other than my own, and I wasn’t sure what to expect. I started studying immediately. I wish I could say that I was thoroughly prepared, but part of this job entails gaining knowledge, not only through books, seminars, classes, videos, but also by hands on experience, and at that time, I had zero. We did manage to get a lot of pictures. I am amazed that they are as good as they were, considering what props and materials I had to work with. I now have quite the collection. The story has come full circle with Lisa being my little Corinne’s teacher at preschool, and Corinne being smitten with none other than my first newborn client, Josiah. Its very cute. So a big shout out to Lisa and Jonathan for getting me started on this wild ride that I absolutely love, my favorite specialty of photography, newborns. Micah James arrived at 6lbs 14oz and 19.25 inches. He is absolutely adorable. He came to me at 14 days new and was quite the sleeper. I hope you enjoy this peak into his baseball themed session.
Little yawns and stretches are just so cute on a newborn.
Baby smiles. What’s cuter?
Oh the dreams I have for you.
