Sweet little preemie, Zoe came by our Dinwiddie, Virginia studio this week. One of my favorite aspects of my career is getting to know the parents and hearing about their birth stories. With each one, I get more of an appreciation for the true miracle that life is. Zoe was born seven weeks before her due date, when the nurse and doctor perceived her going into distress. God gave this couple a miracle with a very small sign, and thankfully they went to have it checked out. The couple credits an amazing nurse for her diligence that day. She kept mom at the hospital and monitored her carefully. She found that little Zoe was still in distress even after contractions had stopped. They believe that Zoe may not have made it without her. During her emergency c-section, it was discovered that Zoe’s cord was very short and that a normal delivery would have likely been detrimental to mom. This may have been the cause of her distress.
I am so glad that we have such caring medical personnel in this world. They save so many precious little ones. Zoe, we count you as one of God’s beautiful miracles.
I was very honored to capture these gorgeous images for her parents. She came to me, right around her due date, seven weeks after her miracle birth. I love my little preemie clients.
